Wes, Rugby Coach

DESCRIPTION

Players pass and then move to find an empty cone. Players should take 1 touch.

With bigger numbers in your training session you can increase the number of cones and the number of balls accordingly.

COACHING POINTS

Demand firm passes to test the first touch of your players.

Players should play with 1 touch and thus the movement after the touch needs to be quick.

You can manipulate the distance between the two cones accordingly to demand a different distance of passing and movement.

Encourage players not to always occupy the cone that has just been vacated by another player.

Players should manipulate the weight of pass to take the sting out of the game if others are not making movement quick enough or to add emphasis to the speed of the game if movement is sharp.
