What?s in the Session?
The session begins with a fun warm-up to get your attackers considering different ways they can get free. The session progresses to get your players really focusing on their movement, driving on to meet the ball. ?Free to catch? further allows your attackers to practice getting free against a defender in a small space. The attacker will have to be creative with their movement, using short, sharp drives to receive the ball. This drill is further progressed to get your players working in partnerships, ensuring the attackers are aware of the space and their teammate. The session concludes with a modified game of netball, with certain conditions placed upon the game to get your players demonstrating what they have learnt.
This session will help develop your player's ability to get free from the defender using evasive attacking skills and focus on penetrating space.
